Silly
Noises Animal Game
For this version, players race to complete Silly Noises animals (donkey, pig, cow, monkey, dog or elephant) while they match animal parts with the dotted outlines indicting one of six animals on their Animal Character Cards.
1. Place the game boards in position on the SoundSpinner Module, with the grassy field facing up.
2. Using the matching Animal Part Stick-Ons pieces, cover the animal pictures on the game board by sticking the animal parts on top of the corresponding animal picture.
3. Press the Start Button to begin play.
4. The youngest player goes first by pushing the SoundSpinner Button, which will make a "call," the sound of one of the six Silly Noises animals.
5. If the call matches the animal on his/her Animal Character Card, then the youngest player collects an animal part from the game board and places it in the corresponding location on his/her Animal Character Card. (For example: When a player "spins" a monkey, they choose any available monkey part; when a player "spins" a pig, they choose a pig part, etc.). Play passes clockwise to the next player (the same direction the animals on the game board are facing).
6. If the call does not match the player's animal, play passes clockwise. The first player to complete his/her animal either a donkey, pig, cow, monkey, dog or elephant wins the game.
7. The winning player first pushes his/her Animal Character Button and then the SoundSpinner Button to announce he/she has won.
Silly
Noises Animal Scramble Game
In this version, players mix up the pieces and create zany, imaginative creatures from hundreds of different possible combinations.
1. Place the game board in position on the SoundSpinner Module, with the starry sky facing up.
2. Using the matching Animal Part Stick-Ons pieces, cover the animals on the game board by sticking the animal parts on top of the corresponding animal picture.
3. Press the Start Button to begin play.
4. The youngest player goes first by pushing the SoundSpinner Button, which will make a call that is the sound of one of six Silly Noises animals (donkey, pig, cow, monkey, dog or elephant).
5. The youngest player collects an animal part from the game boards that matches the animal call and places it on his/her card to build a wacky animal. [For example: When a player "spins" a monkey, they may choose any available monkey part (head, front legs, body, etc.); when a player "spins" a pig, they choose a pig part.] When the first player's turn is done, play passes clockwise (the direction the animals on the game board are facing) to the next player.
6. Play continues with players collecting animal parts that have not been removed from the game board, so long as their Animal Character Card does not already have that animal part (head, front legs, body, etc.) from another animal. If none of the playable animal parts can be collected, play passes clockwise to the next player.
7. The first player
to complete his/her wacky animal a combination of donkey, pig, cow, monkey,
dog and/or elephant wins the game.
The winning player pushes the Animal Character Button of each of the
animals they have used to create their wacky animal and then pushes the
SoundSpinner Button to announce they have won.
Playback mode lets children hear their final creations again and again!
