Sort it Out!™ just won the "Game of the Year" award at the TOTY Awards, known as the Oscars of the toy industry. The Toy Industry Association puts on the TOTY Awards ceremony to salute the toys and games they judge as the best of the best for that year. The award ceremony, held on February 13th, was held in conjunction with the American International Toy Fair in New York City.
Who knows the Biggest, Fastest, Loudest, Smallest, Longest
Everything? Sort it Out! asks players to arrange lists of measurements,
events, weights, and stages into the correct sequence. A great ice breaker
for groups of new friends and a battle of wits for old friends and family. Sort
it Out! is a fast-paced game where knowing just a little about something can
help you win everything!
“It provides a high-quality brain workout,” writes Joshua Kosman of The San Francisco Chronicle. Cody Ellerd from The Seattle Times calls it “a great party and family game that creates the perfect combination of knowledge, luck, challenge, and fun.”
When the “Game of the Year” category rolled around during the TOTY ceremony and Sort it Out! was announced as the winner, University Games CEO Bob Moog could hardly believe the news.
“I never thought I would beat Scrabble and Uno at anything!” joked Moog as enthusiastically accepted the award, referring to two other nominees in the category inspired by the popular Scrabble and Uno games. The nod from the TIA could help propel Sort it Out! into the status of a family classic.
